NeoGeo AES+ developer Plaion Replai cited the global component supply constraint as one of the main factors of the delay.
TJ Denzer September 10, 2026 9:13 AM Image via Plaion 1The upcoming NeoGeo AES+ remade console from SNK and Plaion Replai has been delayed back to September 2027, with the two companies stating that component supply restraints have made it impossible to meet its originally planned November 2026 shipping date.
SNK and Plaion made their statement on Plaion’s social media channels, where they further explain the issues that have caused the delay. The new shipping date for the AES+ will be September 16, 2027:

The NeoGeo AES+ was announced back in April this year with a November 2026 release date. The system promises a true home NeoGeo experience at a fraction of the price it took to get the original hardware and games. While new game cartridges (built on original hardware designs rather than emulation) were made for the system, it can also play classic NeoGeo AES cartridges.
With the NeoGeo AES+ being pushed back to 2027, stay tuned for more updates and news on the SNK topic.
