Conan Exiles Enhanced coming to consoles as free upgrade

Free stuff is always good news, so hurrah for Funcom, which has announced that Conan Exiles Enhanced will be a free upgrade for anyone who has the PS4 or Xbox One versions of the game.

“We’ve heard loud and clear from our console community that they want to experience the Enhanced version of Conan Exiles. We’re very happy to finally confirm that it’s on the way, and we can’t wait for players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to experience the Exiled Lands at their best,” says Funcom CEO Scott Junior.

On top of that, Funcom have also confirmed that full cross-play is coming to Conan Exiles Enhanced “at launch or soon after.”

As you might expect, the enhanced version of Conan Exiles brings significantly improved visuals across environments, characters, lighting, and effects, alongside a redesigned UI and a range of performance and quality-of-life improvements. That means players in the UK may get more detailed Mr. Happy, as we’re allowed full nudity in the game but the Europeans are not.

The Enhanced edition also merges the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansions into one seamless experience, although they are still purchased separately.

Funcom also announced that Aloft will launch on PS5 sometime early next year when the PC version reaches V.10 and leaves early access.

“The PlayStation 5 release will feature the same experience as the Steam 1.0 version with more than 2 years’ worth of updates, inviting players to transform floating islands into skyships, build a home among the clouds, and explore its colorful open world alone or with friends.”
