Xbox is giving away a working Series X console inside a five-foot alligator

Xbox has unveiled one of its most unusual custom consoles yet, placing a fully functioning Xbox Series X inside a life-sized alligator that one lucky fan will get to take home.

The one-of-a-kind creation, called the Xbox Series X-BITE, was revealed on November 3 as part of a sweepstakes inspired by Florida, where Xbox is heading this month.

While the console is housed inside a realistic alligator replica, it remains functional and even comes with a custom controller featuring bite marks.

Measuring more than five feet from snout to tail, the Xbox Series X-BITE features a specially crafted alligator with an Xbox Series X built into its body.

The console is visible through an illuminated Xbox Nexus logo on the creature's back, while a custom Xbox Wireless Controller sits between its open jaws.

The alligator also features green eyes with pupils inspired by the Xbox logo, along with detailed scales and textures designed to give it a realistic appearance.

Xbox worked with creature animatronics specialists John Nolan Studio to create the custom console. The studio has previously worked on productions including The Witcher, Jurassic World Dominion, and HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series.

The team used 3D modeling, sculpting, and fabrication techniques to bring the design to life, ensuring the Xbox Series X remained functional inside the finished creation.

Despite its working hardware, Xbox says the custom console is best used as a display piece. The company also confirmed that no real alligators were used or harmed during its creation.

How to enter the Xbox Series X-BITE giveaway

Only one Xbox Series X-BITE exists, and Xbox is giving fans in the US a chance to win it through a social media sweepstakes.

The giveaway began on November 3 at 9 AM PT and runs through November 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT.

To enter, participants must follow the official Xbox account on X, Instagram, or TikTok, repost the designated sweepstakes post, and manually include the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes.

Entrants must also keep their social media accounts public so their submissions can be viewed.

The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of all 50 US states and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 years old. No purchase is necessary to participate.

Xbox says the potential winner will have just 48 hours to respond after being notified. Anyone who misses that deadline risks losing their chance to claim the custom console.

The Xbox Series X-BITE is not being offered for sale, making the sweepstakes the only announced opportunity to own the one-of-a-kind creation.
