Our slow cadence of game news updates are interrupted by this post I’ve spotted over on BlueSky regarding cancelled pre-orders for the coming (and now likely elusive Nintendo Switch 2 “Legend of Zelda” edition)—renowned sales and deals… Dealer (and potential bot) Wario64 wrote that customers with cancelled console pre-orders with the US retail giant Wal-Mart were receiving gift cards totalling 519 USD as an apology for not having their orders fulfilled:

If you’ve pre-ordered thru Wal-Mart and had your order cancelled, keep an eye out! It won’t be enough to cover a scalped console, but at least now you’ll be able to afford hundreds of packets of Maruchan noodles.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on 5 November. Pre-orders are live across retailers and the Nintendo eShop.
